3. Penilaian hasil belajar oleh Pemerintah.
Setiap satuan pendidikan, selain wajib melakukan perencanaan dan proses pembelajaran, juga perlu melakukan penilaian hasil pembelajaran sebagai upaya terlaksananya proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Salah satu bentuk penilaian tersebut adalah Penilaian Tengah Semester (PTS).

Tujuan Penilaian Tengah Semester
Secara umum, tujuan Penilaian Tengah Semester (PTS) adalah untuk menilai pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik selama setengah semester dan hasilnya dijadikan sebagai bahan penyusunan laporan kemajuan belajar.
Sedangkan secara khusus, tujuan pelaksanaan Penilaian Tengah Semester adalah sebagai berikut.
1. Untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran yang sudah berlangsung selama setengah semester.
2. Untuk mengetahui kemajuan dan hasil belajar peserta didik selama setengah semester.
3. Untuk mendiagnosa kesulitan belajar peserta didik.
4. Untuk memotivasi peserta didik dalam melakukan perbaikan hasil belajar.
5. Untuk mendeteksi kebutuhan remidial dan pengayaan peserta didik.
Fungsi Penilaian Tengah Semester
Berikut ini beberapa fungsi dari pelaksanaan Penilaian Tengah Semester.
1. Sebagai salah satu bahan pertimbangan dalam menentukan kenaikan kelas.
2. Sebagai umpan balik dalam perbaikan proses pembelajaran.
3. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik.
4. Sebagai evaluasi diri terhadap kinerja peserta didik.

Proclamation of Indonesian Independence
The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence was read at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, 17 August 1945.
The declaration marked the start of the diplomatic and armed resistance of the Indonesian National Revolution, fighting against the forces of the Netherlands and pro-Dutch civilians, until the latter officially acknowledged Indonesia’s independence in 1949. The Netherlands declared that they had decided to accept de facto 17 August 1945 as Indonesia’s independence date. The United Nations, who mediated in the conflict, formally acknowledge the date of independence as 27 December 1949.
The document was signed by Sukarno and Mohammad Hatta, who were appointed president and vice-president respectively the following day.

The Kingdom of Majapahit
Have you heard about Majapahit Kingdom in Indonesia history? Majapahit was a vast archipelagic empire location on the Eastern part of Java (1293 – 1500 AD).
East Javanese history was divided into three dynasty periods. The first was the period when the kings of Kediri ruled over Java in 10th – 1222 AD. They were then succeeded by the dynasty of Singasari (1222 – 1293 AD), which later was replaced by the kings of Majapahit (1293 – early 16th century).
Raden Wijaya was the son in law of Kertanegara, the last king of Singasari who had been murdered by Jayakatwang from Gelang-Gelang. Then Jayakatwang was defeated by Wijaya utilizing the Mongol armies, who come to Java to punish Kertanegara. Finally by cunning tricks, Wijaya defeated the Mongol’s and drove them away. Then Wijaya ascended the throne as the finest king of Majapahit on 1293 AD.
